This Privacy Policy explains how Simon Caignart (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when merchants install or use the ZapClone Shopify application (“the App”).

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Shopify Merchant & Store Information

When you install the App, Shopify sends us data required for authentication and operation, including: shop domain, access token, user information, locale, account owner status, collaborator status, email verified status, OAuth state, and token expiration.

1.2 Cloned Product Records

When you clone a product, we store: product title, image URL, shop domain, cloned date, and Shopify GID.

1.3 Payment Information

We use Shopify Billing for one-time charges. We store the billing ID, shop, status, and expiration—never credit card details.

1.4 Compliance Webhooks

For GDPR/CCPA compliance, Shopify sends us privacy requests which we log for auditing.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to authenticate your store, operate ZapClone, manage billing, display cloned product history, handle compliance, improve reliability, and ensure security. We never sell or rent your data.

3. Data Retention

Upon uninstalling the App, access tokens, sessions, and cloned product logs are deleted. Billing records remain only as required by law. You may request full erasure at any time.

4. Data Sharing

We only share data with Shopify, infrastructure providers, or authorities if legally required. We never disclose data for marketing.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in PostgreSQL with restricted access and encrypted connections.

6. GDPR Rights

EU and UK users may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of data. Contact us to exercise your rights.

7. CCPA Rights

California users may request access or deletion of their data. We do not sell personal information.

8. International Data Transfers

Data may be stored or processed in regions outside your own, consistent with legal requirements.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for business use only. We do not knowingly collect data from minors under 16.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. The "Last Updated" date will always reflect the latest version.
